about
Hear Skellig Michael from the perspective of a Puffin’s burrow. Care needs to be taken not to be plucked out by predatory gulls patrolling on foot, peering heads inside as they go. Wingbeats of passing neighbours whizz by in all directions. Closer wingbeats followed by a crash, indicate a loved one has arrived with a delivery of Sandeels. Bills clap in a unified greeting - like an eskimo kiss. Footsteps patter into the burrow. A chick begs softly from within. Bees buzz by, as do various other bird residents - the sound of a vibrant neighbourhood.
