I met Steve Albini once before a Big Black show. He was the best. RIP Steve. You'll be missed. "I don't fear Hell/Their baseball team is undefeated." Birdboy
I know this record is regarded as a landmark noise rock album but I think it's actually pretty melodic and playful, like with the bratty get-the-last-word-in notes of "Pull The Cup." It rocks, for sure, but it's constructed in an almost jazz-like fashion, building instruments and sounds atop one another like LEGO bricks. There's an incredible amount of craft here. RIP Steve Albini. mattgraupman
