The human tone engages with the secret world of pond sounds. The orchestra, surely, is complete. It certainly doesn’t need me. But I take it as a place from which to begin. Interspecies musicians want to ensnare music out of the surrounding sounds.
This soundworld is busy, beating, thrumming, pulsing, all on its own without any transformations. This is a single piece that convinces me that playing along with ponds is a proven thing. Yes it does work. So much is going on beneath the water. Its bustle implores me to slow down, relax, get lyrical for once.
This is a magical sound forest right around you, usually ignored. Drop the hydrophone down, plug in, hear it for yourself, imagine what you want to add to such a thing.
