Il y a des hauts et des bas, mais pas chez Plebeian Grandstand. Dans False Highs, True Lows, il n'y a que des bas. Ce troisième album résume résume l'humain à une créature bipolaire. Elle est déchirée soit entre des transports délirants, illustrés par ce black metal dissonant et sauvage qui a fait la signature du groupe français ; soit (et c'est une nouveauté) par une déprime insoutenable avec un tempo tiré du doom metal et des guitares qui pleurent — littéralement. On a le cafard, il est agité.
