lyrics
Up where the moon and the stars are always out
I keep watch, I tend the fire
I document my whereabouts
Etchings on the ceiling deciphered through and out
It's lonely at the vanguard
Still lonely up the tower
Up here the moon and the stars, forever out
I still watch and tend the fire
And keep track of my wherabouts
Sketches on the walls, deciphered through and out
Those weary hands, they’re ill prepared to fight
Bear the burden of the keeper
I have rehearsed a paragraph
For any odd encounter, a fitting epigraph
My kingdom for an empire
A frame of mine, intricate maps of my own design
I let silence answer prayers
And mocked the squalor of your savior
Towering the flock, two idle needles grin forever

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor

It's only four tracks, yes, but it's four tracks of great cosmic psychedelia.

A terrifically woozy slab of psychedelic stoner rock, where big riffs grind against saxophones, omnichords, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable...Feb 17, 2018
