lyrics
Gathered in darkness
Standing beneath the uncountable heavens
Upon this mountain
A circle we have formed
Ingesting the mushrooms
We prepare for our journey
Treacherous and unknown
The voyage to within
The fires are glowing
In mesmerizing hues
The drums pounding
In rhythm with the flames
Flickering visions
Of things that are not real
Hallucinations
Or prophesies from beyond
Minds warping reality
Spirits invoking our alliance
Concepts becoming thoughts and words
Knowledge attained through madness
Evolution of the sapien brain
Symbiotic growth
We transform from lower flesh
Into the likeness of the gods
Destiny unfolding revealing
The path to higher existence
Down from the mountain
With wisdom in our hearts
Unlocked potential
Humanity advanced
Out from the stone age
Into the age of steel
Ruling this planet
The glorious tyrants of the future

Absolutely gorgeous. Conveyed sorrow and love in such a gentle but powerful way. Listening to it felt like coming home after being away for a very long time. o_for_opossum
More bleak, enveloping atmospheric black metal from the masters at the Vendetta label, “aevum” is both harrowing & strangely beautiful. Ba...ndcamp New & Notable Sep 30, 2019

If you can call a band OSDM while recognizing they’ve clearly transcended the category, then I will love that band. I love this band. Some of the best songwriting of any musical era or genre. Just masterful. Every new release is an artistic spectacle that compares with your favorite albums, musicals, or films. They’re becoming one of my all time favorites. Metallurgical Fire
