As much as I like to stick to my roots and keep OSDM close to my heart, there are a few bands out there that play that prog / blackened DM that tickle my pickle with great growls, pummelling riffs and melodies that trigger my dopamine reaction. HATH is one of them, by all means, this is some extremely well-crafted BDM with mature song-writing and flawless execution!! FFO Sulphur Aeon, Ulcerate, Bloodbath, etc...

The first album is already a very good one, but the second is even better! It contains again nature black metal, quite melodic, but also wild, with some folkloristic elements, full of atmosphere and performed with passion. For me, BLACKBRAID fits well into the same category as other epic one man bands like Saor, Ruadh or Pure Wrath. Besides the catchy and quite straight opener "The Spirit returns", I mention the mightiest track "Moss covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon" as my favourite song!
