Spawn of Djedet's deity am I, so venerated
Pyres heaped high to assume amorphic ubiquity
Deface the names of all others who came before
Their presence upon lofted chambers enrages me
Remove their immortal tongues
Gut the ancient world of its falseness
Every gash within the stone silences another until all are forgotten
My reign is eternal here, hideous copulator of incest
Inseminator of heresy, horror-born progeny are the lineage of mine
Through the consuming sands, sacrificial serpent
Through Capricorn's gate bleeds the might of I
Dissonant Metal for Band Kids past and present! That flute in Bodies of Ash is reminiscent of the flute trio in the 1st mvt of Prokofiev's Scythian Suite. Intended that way or not, it was perfect. 10/10 🤤 🤘 Gmurphrygian
This third full-length release for Dormant Ordeal moved them up the ladder on the path to stardom. They perfected their tech-death formula with more melody, more punch and even more furious riffs. Still reminded me of Decapitated, but evolved to really give the opus the authenticity that comes from pouring their hearts and passion into making their own masterpiece! Thank you again @Yoma!!! sashavonkarl74
so many gems in this album but after i went through this in order for my review, i kept returning to this anguished call to humanity, an emblem of despair in vast nothingness. a shred of hope dashed, as this album as a whole speaks to the annihilation of the ideals of humanity and the pedestals they sit on - and what happens when we watch all that shatter. there are plenty of outer space themed albums, but VORGA brings us something worth listening to. mintymetal
