This one just kind of fell into place, all by itself. It was very early in the process of making the new album, and we thought that maybe the whole thing would be this easy. Just let the songs finish themselves, it’s a cakewalk! We were very wrong. Sugar did however set the standard (as well as the title) for the rest of the album. It’s about the weight of existence and the deceptive allure of taking the easy way out.
lyrics
Creepy little pixie, crawled into my head
Made me indecisive
Caught the waves, followed them down
Wanted to, let it all go
For an instance I spoke, couldn't understand
I felt liquid, pouring out
Said life is death, from the cradle to the grave
Drifted away, and then I heard, my name
It just takes and takes, eats away
Quake, shake, shy away
It makes haste, through the veins
So why do we, let it stay
Carry the weight, carry the weight
Carry the weight, carry the weight
Through roads and tolls, all unknown
Shapes, shades, silhouettes and bones
Witches and wraiths creep and crawl
The longer they slip, the harder they fall
Crave the sugar, taste the sugar
Taste the sugar, taste the sugar
Carry the weight, carry the weight
Carry the weight, carry the weight
Crave the sugar, taste the sugar
Taste the sugar, taste the sugar
Carry the weight, carry the weight
Carry the weight, carry the weight
Crave the sugar, taste the sugar
Taste the sugar, taste the sugar

Bored and angry at small-town narrow-mindedness they buried themselves in their music. At first, they played mostly cover songs, members came and went and turbulence prevailed. But then one day everything came together....more
