I am fairly new to power metal and honestly getting into the rabbit hole of metal sub-genre’s, and this album just reeks of pure badass fantasy, like I am playing a D&D game where I am the hero slaying demons and ghouls. I absolutely love it. The guitar solo’s to the vocal’s are just great and match what I want out of metal in general. Highly recommend this album!

Lamp of Murmuur reste un cran en retard pour placer ses pions en avance. Avec Submission And Slavery, il fait un immense bond dans le temps mais reste rétro, passant de l'ère romantique du XIXe siècle aux thèmes gothiques des années 80. Le raw black metal de salle de torture est tempéré par des synthés vampiriques ("Reduced To Submission And Slavery") et une esthétique coldwave assumée ("Dominatrix's Call"). Suranné, me direz-vous ? This is utterly nvts. Black, death, doom, noise, squealing guitars, tortured vocals, blast beats, groove beats, everything everywhere all at once. Songs almost structureless develop meaning as they go. Heavy af and I'm starting to think I can't get enough of it.
