lyrics
Tried to take my mind off you
Learn to paint, try something new
Couldn’t hold it down
Let’s turn back around
Saw you smile
But I was dreaming
It was enough to write off
The day to come
And as it fades into the distance
It’s never been clearer
That I’m running out of time
Taken by the tide
Walking slow under perfect skies
But you’re not by my side
Moving on with no real meaning Just me and the moon
Changed the record
I still whistle the tune
Nothing left to do But to think of you
‘Cos I’ve been searching the highs and the lows
Coming up cold
But I’m running out of time
Taken by the tide
Walking slow under perfect skies
But you’re not by my side
EZTV were a band we felt very inspired by, and we've frequently used their music as a point of reference when writing/arranging our own. Glad to see Ezra T keeping it going with this great new album! Mt. Misery

Remember how Bill Murray woke up to I Got You Babe every day in Groundhog Day? If that song would have been Made Of Moods, he at the very least experienced three and a half perfect minutes each day. It’s one of those songs that I enjoy each and every second of, with it’s jangly guitars and hushed vocals that almost have a Beach Boys vibe, especially in the verse. Truly, it’s a song for the ages. But the best news about Still Life is that it offers eleven additional underground pop gems. Niek || Add To Wantlist

The Reds, Pinks & Purples invoke a very particular moment of the post-C86/Sarah Records outpost of “college rock” before grunge became the de facto form of “alt rock”. This is pop music like they don’t really make it anymore: Catchy, gloomy, literate, jangly, artsy, occasionally frivolous… like some half-remembered video from the Dave Kendall-era of 120 Minutes. Released in 2001, “The Convincer” is a gentle gem in the Nick Lowe catalog; an anniversary edition provides opportunity for rediscovery. Bandca...mp New & Notable Sep 20, 2021
