April 2, 2021: Qween Paz (they/them) is an unapologetic genre-bending pop artist from South Texas. Unraveling their queer pensive heart into a glimpse of raw emotional cinema, Paz's music creates a safe space for the community to revel in an anti-shame, pro self-love dreamscape.
"Hold On Up", Qween Paz’s debut single with Grimalkin Records, pushes a simple chord progression that never sounded so unique. During the many luminous moments of Qween hitting their brassy strings on the guitar, a rip through the strong airiness of their tone has you swaying your neck freely to the pulse of a timeless bluesy cadence. The track builds you up, while their powerhouse voice slows it down, breaking through the tension, inching you in a little closer, and creating thirst for more, at Qween's command.

It is the conceptual continuation of their album Coming of Age (which you should also listen to), and Knock Knock is both an excellent continuation and a wonderful new album. The vocals, instrumentals, and lyrics are all excellent, and every song fits together wonderfully. Absolutely worth listening to. Thank you for releasing this wonderful album.
