lyrics
A wonder of wit,
Had the monocrat clipped,
And that what was common,
Is sunk in the mud.
For those who don’t fit,
Felt the symmetry slip,
No more for the marksman,
They bandage their blood.
Green eye-shade,
In a new dawning hour,
Through a mad reverie,
Bore the eyes of the kingdom,
Green eye-shade,
In the fall of all power,
Rose a clear alchemy,
From whence it always was hidden.
He who was ruling,
Is no more returning,
A splint in the temper,
A bloom through the snow.
No leaders are fooling,
The energy burning,
And as they take centre,
A sight to bestow.
Green eye-shade,
In a new dawning hour,
Through a mad reverie,
Bore the eyes of the kingdom,
Green eye-shade,
In the fall of all power,
Rose a clear alchemy,
From whence it always was hidden.
The fallen opposer,
Who lost in a bubble weight,
Match with a rebel,
Their shame to undue.
And shed from the shoulders,
Heads full of vile-hate,
Roll from a temple,
Too old to be true.
Green eye-shade,
In a new dawning hour,
Through a mad reverie,
Bore the eyes of the kingdom,
Green eye-shade,
In the fall of all power,
Rose a clear alchemy,
From whence it always was hidden.

What a fantastic album! I've only listened to the full record once so far, but man, this is going to be on steady play for me for awhile. Lyrics are worth savoring, arrangements are engaging and varied, and the vocals just hit that auditory groovy spot. Favorite song is going to change with each listen, so I'll start with the first track. Russ Isabella

Ancient Shapes is my favourite iteration of DR. Another collection of great tunes to set on repeat, as to be expected at this point.
