lyrics
GHASTLY, GRAVEN & GRIMOIRELESS
Staring vacantly into the abyss, lost in the tar of abject opiates
Lifelessly listless in immortal remiss
Ghastly, graven and grimoireless, bound by the book you no longer possess
Ghastly, graven and grimoireless and you’re shaking your fist at the world
Your hunt continues on, where could your tome have gone?
Retaining all the spells you know but your bitter inner self is shown
Your ugliness elucidates the lonesome bed of filth you’ve made
You can barely carry on, within this world you don’t belong
Staring contently into the abyss, drunk off of phantasmagorical piss
A pointlessly wicked enfeebling mess
You’re ghastly, graven and grimoireless, obsessed by the book you no longer possess
Ghastly, graven and grimoireless and you’re shaking your fist at the world
Suffer it to fail
My misery you’ll share with me lest I regain divinity
Failure of recovery brings incantated tantruming
Such selfish strength I have found, masterless and underground
Casting pox in curseful plague, torched survivors, slaughtered brave
Feel my anger, feel its flames, glowing eyes I break the chains
Dead to you and dead to me, I take from you all that you see
Still scowling without mercy into the abyss, still drunk off phantasmagorical piss
Envious grudge-laden pitilessness
You’re ghastly, graven and grimoireless, marred by a manual you still fail to possess
You are ghastly, graven and grimoireless and you’re making your mark on the world
Spoiling beneath your feet, festered by your malevolence, and made to rot

An excellent release that significantly improved from their previous albums.
Blood Incantation's Hidden History of the Human Race sounds like Covenant-era Morbid Angel, Death, Brutality, Afterbirth, Lykathea Aflame, Atheist, and Cynic had a child.
I really enjoy Blood Incantation's lyrical themes, while their name would make one presume they're about the occult or played-out satanic crap, they take a deep dive into the unknown of the cosmos and extraterrestrial beings.
Excellent work! Sid

I am fairly new to power metal and honestly getting into the rabbit hole of metal sub-genre’s, and this album just reeks of pure badass fantasy, like I am playing a D&D game where I am the hero slaying demons and ghouls. I absolutely love it. The guitar solo’s to the vocal’s are just great and match what I want out of metal in general. Highly recommend this album! SLADESNAKE

If ya dig in your face heavy death metal this album checks all of the right boxes. Deep into your bowels vocals, a pummeling rhythm section that’s gonna make you have to change your underwear several times and gigantic riffs that will make your skin crawl out the door to get several bacon cheeseburgers! This is one of my favorite all time albums and one of the best of 2019. Get hip. Get blown away…. Grouchomarc

Extremely inventive and multifaceted sci-fi prog death, just like iridescent ethereal world on the cover art. Best band's achievement up to date. And easily in 2023 AOTY list Dmitry Nevozhay
