I know you’d like to forget
But I need you now to remember
There’s more to life than vote and react
Defend and attack
And I’m trying hard
Not to take it to heart
But the feedback gets to me
Between the gunpoint border
And the fictional virus
Of our identity
Beyond their control
Beyond petty politics
and weapons of killing time
Beyond the daily war
Beyond criminal damage
And terror police at night
When I wake up
From politics
That we made
Will they make us slaves?
Paralyze us:
test animals for
Killing systems
Run the maze
Now that you’ve met
Goals that we’ve set
All on target
All in flight
We won’t go gentle into that good night
A peace we live in the heart of the fight
This is our sacred ground
Beyond the petty rusting orders
In a rusting state
White noise surrounds
But it can’t seal our fate
And I’m trying hard not to take it to heart
The feedback gets to me
Between the gunpoint border
And the spiritual violence
Of our identity
Beyond their control
Beyond the days I wonder
If the sound of my voice isn’t mine
sound of my voice isn’t mine
Beyond the daily war
The strength comes back
like a bullet shot through time
Shot
Now we wake up
from politics
Remain
They won’t make us slaves
Paralyze us
Test animals for killing systems
Run the maze
Now that you’ve met
Goals that we’ve set
All on target
All in flight
We won’t go gentle into that good night
A peace we live in the heart of the fight

Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel

This is like emo Bruce Springsteen. Anthemic, but most importantly, channeling something of our collective experience so poetically real. I love that these angsty conventions can be used to rage (somewhat generally) against our screwed up society. This is rock and roll. Adam Pearson
