This album is probably the most striking thing that has ever happened to me musically. I still can't get used to the richness and unpredictability of the sound, it keeps me surprised after so many listenings. The voice sample in the title track is especially noteworthy. First, I couldn't fully discern the words. But one day I saw the iconic film the sample is taken from — and it was mind-bending to realize that I'm hearing that very phrase. The album is so special and unique to me. HermannHermine
a timeless masterpiece that gives great perspective on a horrible affliction, which has inspired myself and many others for years, and which i hope will continue to do so for many more. electricpants
Another fine set of ambient soundscapes by Loscil. As others have already noted, "Equivalent 3" and "Equivalent 8" are two of the highlights. Steve Davis

To finally cap off the Caretaker moniker, we stumble across some great tracks thrown out from the production of Everywhere at the end of time, ranging from 'Yeah, I could see that being part of a stage' to 'This is the weirdest and creepiest stuff I've ever come across'. Also found a few semi-hidden gems on the CD extras that I thoroughly enjoyed. OrsonXD
