I had an awesome shower
Then I looked down on the ground
And saw that several hair follicles
Had fallen from my crown
The sight was quite concerning to me
So I looked around
Searching for reflective surfaces
But none were to be found
So I called upon my neighbors
To see if they could see
Knocked upon their door and asked
If they would look at me
They said that I looked fine
But I wondered was it lies
Because it seemed to me
That I saw something more up in their eyes
I stopped a couple guys on the street
Asked if they saw anything
That seemed out of place
Perhaps a flaw
They both said
Nah brah in fact you got the juice
I was at your show the other day and I got loose
Aw shucks really
Well that tickled me silly
I shook his hand
He smiled at me
I saw a crooked tooth
Something in the imperfection
That was pleasing to my eye
Went on my way
Another day
Another reason to be high
The trees up in the sky
Slightly swaying in the breeze had caught my eye
I slowed my speed
No longer need to wonder why
Of course it wouldn't last
Pretty soon I would forget
But I wrote this to remember
And it hasn't happened yet
Because I'm a rapping vet
DIY mantra maker
Stay in LA like a Laker
But sometimes I have to take a break
And hoof it back to the heartland HQ
And to the universe I'd like to say thank you
So it went everyday
Waking up feeling lame
It was like during the night
Someone had reset my game
Took the marker from my book
And I didn't know the page
I kept reading the same chapter
There was laughter there was rage
I was told to act my age
But what was that
If every time I took a nap
I was caught in a time trap
I had to find a way
To make revelations stay
Because they kept getting swept away
So I put them in a rhyme rap
My drafts are always rough and never final
Our farms take fresh ingredients
Cold press them into vinyl
Not a richie like Lionel
But the words that I combine will
Fuse together in your mind
Like vertebrae up in your spinal column

We're all doing it wrong
With nose longer than Ganesh's
Nobody's on the guest list
We are all paying full price
So why should I not commit
