about
I played drums in three All-Girl Bands:
This ditty has a verse for each of my All-Girl Bands
-the Urge, a San Francisco first wave punk band circa 1978-80
-Pulsallama, a 7-11 piece percussion ensemble conceived of by Ann Magnuson an fronted by Ann, Wendy Wild, Kimberly Davis and April Palmeri, We opened 5 dates for the Clash and are sampled on Danny Brown's "Atrocity Exhibition"
-Clambake, who featured Southern ex-patriots Holly George Warren Liz Gall and Cathy Crane and Shirley Winters. Alex Chilton mixed our unreleased EP.
Mike Trebilcock of the Killjoys and Josh Robins helped me shape this song.

lyrics
Drum lessons in the basement
Drum lessons uptown
1s and 2s and 4s and 8s
I think I'm getting it down
Hands greasy from Chinese food
I played a sloppy set
"You're the worst band we've ever heard."
Bill Murray just left
The best of times, worst of times
slumber party, knocked down drag out fights
All Girl Band, All Girl Band
Fought with Liz before we left
but we laughed all the way to Chapel Hill
We played bad at the Brewery
Third on the bill
The best of times, worst of times
Ran and hid, I could not keep the time
The gigs we opened for the Clash
we got pelted, heckled and jeered
but the last time we turned it around
they clapped and they cheered
We sang ULSAPAY AMALAY
Pulsallama What's my Name?
All Girl Band, All Girl Band
We learned to play on the stage
One note at a time
Out of tune, a beat behind
Dressed up fancy, we had chutzpah
We weren't afraid
All the boys were envious
cuz we got the gigs,
We got the gigs!
All Girl Band, All Girl Band

This punky pop two piece father and daughter duo rocks, has strong melodies, and great guitar playing. They also have a unique and funny sense of humor that I appreciate. Jean Caffeine
Chilling-to-the-core in the best way possible, Julianna is a talent and a half. Have listened to this record no less than 5x a week since I stumbled across it. jpowderly
