I've been toying with covers of this song for some years (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7BlVH93RHo). It's a beautiful piece of music. One of my favourite songs. As with all of the covers I approach in this series, I had to go somewhere different with the arrangement and instrumentation because Callahan has an indefinable quality I could not hope to mimic. Better to go different than to attempt a copy, I reckon.
