The late Borders’ fiddler, Ian Hardie, wrote The Poetic Milkman about a fellow resident of Kirk Yetholm who would deliver their milk and would often spare time to recite poems and sing songs for the family during his rounds. Ray Anderson is a lesser-known tune in folk circles but was penned by one of the piping world’s finest jig writers, Duncan Johnstone.

The composition of all the tracks are extremely thought out and executed perfectly especially the ones that incorporate two tunes. The track i feel shows this is at their best is June's Garden/Pockets.

Dystopia was my introduction to Talisk when the live version of it was out on youtube. Between the energy and life not just by the music itself, but the people playing it being so engrained into the songs themselves, Talisk has become a foot-stomper, and an absolute jam of a band to put on full volume.
