This album I also discovered through Ben. He often blares music out of his office. This time he called me in and made me listen to this 'demo' release and told me the story about a girl working in a video shop and recording in the basement. Not only a great story but also amazingly inspired. You can hear all the work, the discovering of sounds and visions Ally was going for. I am a big Beth Orton fan and for me, Lady Lamb might well become a Beth Orton figure of our time. She is amazing. Juju Sophie
