Wow. I know the name. I know the period. I have tons of 50s and 60s R&B. How, then, did I not own any Etta James till now? I’m going to have to go on a deep dive outside of BC, ‘cuz there’s not much Etta here. Bought the vinyl to make up for it, tho the label is oddly lacking internet presence considering the age we live in, so… fingers crossed.

A strong album. All songs have this characteristic mix of down to earth and far off - alive and breathing although produced in a studio. Too bad its so good.
