Editorial Reviews
After a 3 year wait, Interpol return with their third album and their first using a producer, Rich Costey for Capitol Records. While Interpol's two previous gold album's TURN ON THE BRIGHT LIGHTS and ANTICS, were both critical and commercial successes, OUR LOVE TO ADMIRE is set to be their most triumphant to date.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2010Hi, everyone!
This is for me the second best album of Interpol (after Turn On The Bright Lights), the sound of the album is like a roller coaster, the sound starts slow and the it goes up, then down and all that is so exciting :D.
I wasn't sure about purchasing this version of the album but I was really happy when I get it in my hands, it looks so elegant and cool. You will get a great piece of art with the booklet, the poster, the package, the great design and music. It's all mate paint finished and looks great, just like Interpol.
I thought that the poster will be smaller, I get amazed with the size and how it looks :D.
The only problem is that the CD is kind of hard to take out because it's a little bit tight in its package and it could get scratched, but if you take care it won't ;).
So, I recomend you to get this version of the album if you like the fine pieces of art and if you really like Interpol.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2019Everything Interpol has released is superb! I can't believe I had never purchased this release yet. Probably because of Pandora and Amazon Music. From "Pioneer to the Falls" to "Rest My Chemistry" to "The Lighthouse," this album is a journey, meant to be played from start to finish. When you start off with an album as phenomenal as "Bright Lights" it's difficult to release and recognize later releases. Each Interpol album is great in it's own way...even the following self-titled fourth album!!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2014I joke with my friends that Interpol often sounds "like Joy Division, but in tune."
This music is often dark and explores deep, pained issues. Don't mistake it for "emo" music, there's actually substance here. (Anyone who writes "I've made hallways scenes for my regret" has got to have some dark corners of their memories.)
The tunes are generally good, the harmonic progressions are creative, and the production is clear and snappy, without sounding glossy - the music never loses its grit despite the masterful production.
This is gritty, guitar and groove-based modern rock. Dark and worth the journey.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2007When Interpol first hit the scene in 2002 with 'Turn On the Bright Lights, their detractors accused them of imitating certain despair-rock bands of the 80s and of not creating anything new. I was one of them. It took five listens to TOtBL, over the course of several months (not sure why I kept coming back to it, maybe something in my subconcious) for the CD to grab me. I found that, while they showed their love and reverence to their source material, they'd managed to create something fresh and new. The stark, driven tracks of that disc never me let go. Neither did this band.
`Antics', proved to be more of a commercial album, to my ears. Again, I was a little disappointed at first listen. I didn't want my favourite new band to have been sullied by the luke warm reception to their first album, or make any attempts to please the masses. For a while I refused to even listen to 'Slow Hands', tagging it as an indie radio rock anthem, but I eventually gave in. The songs were just too dang catchy to ignore, and yet they retained that flavour of discontent that I'd come to love. My biggest complaint was the length between 'Antics' and 'Admire'.
`Our Love To Admire' is a continuation of their vision and takes great, though subtle, leaps forward. Rather than taking a musical detour, the boys come forward with more power and confdence; tighter as a unit as ever before. Sonically, they go beyond the boundaries of the previous two disks in ways that are not apparent after one or two listens. In fact, like 'Turn...', I was disappointed after listening to 'Admire' the first couple of times. But I know my Interpol, and so I put the disk on repeat.
Opening with `Pioneer To The Falls' sets the tone for `Our Love To Admire' as a journey of singular purpose. `The Heinrich Maneuver' hints at the force of nature apparent on the appropriately titled 'Mammoth' and 'Who Do you Think' (an obvious choice for the 2nd single). Pace is indeed the trick with this new effort. If you let it, 'Our Love To Admire' will get your "soul all fired up".
They may have risen in popularity on the coat-tails of the so-called Indie Rock Revolution, but they've left their peers in the dust. Yes, Interpol borrows heavily from the past. But rather than languishing there, they drag those sonic undertones kicking and screaming into the present and deliver yet another listening experience that is quite admirable. 4.5 stars!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2007I would say this is the best CD of '07 in my eyes. Its a shattering cd, and I cant say I like one song more then another. I have recommended this cd to quite a few friends, I really feel its a staggering piece of work. I listend to the older albums after digging this for a few weeks and I think as an effort, its the best the group has done so far. Looking forward to future works from this band. This has gotten the heaviest rotation in my car since I recieved it
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2019this vinyl is a must-have if u like interpol i mean i haven’t even heard it but i’m sure it’s amazing. packaged very nice and arrived fast and i’m just rlly happy with the product!!😍
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2020Interpol fans I know generally have mixed opinions about this album but I think it’s one of their best! Love the artwork as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2014(Sold by iPodMeister) The cover is not in fabric like the CD I found in Europe, but this is the only "downside" (it's more a difference than a downside...). Everything is in perfect condition, delivered quickly. Besides that, I already knew the songs and I love this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buon Album
Album carino anche se non è il mio genere, scelto per un regalo. Chi l'ha ricevuto ha detto che ha bisogno di più ascolti per esser apprezzato meglio, non diretto come altri album della band

Their best album outside of their debut, Turn On The Bright Lights. First time it's been reissued on vinyl since the original pressing.

5.0 out of 5 stars El tercero en discordia... !?
