On single number two from their forthcoming third LP, the West Coast (by way of NZ) trio throw a "billiant curveball", says Line of Best Fit, "buoyant cowbells, house synth wobs, Spanish brass... it's all in there, packed neatly into a meaty, twisted disco-like ditty."

After popping up mostly on remix duty for others over the past year, Brighton outfit Kudu Blue plant their flag with this well-polished, Massive Attack-evoking single that Repeat Button loves for the "horizontal sunset vibes, spine-tingling bass and lush vocals."

Cole M. Johnson - Keeper

Chicago-based artist Cole M. Johnson quietly updated his Bandcamp earlier this month, catching the attention of Flashlight Tag and Portals. The latter finds this expansive ambient-soul piece "gorgeous," as it "folds inward on itself through changing moods."

Jenny Hval - Sabbath

Posted by 9 blogs • Download: AmazoniTunes
As she "coasts along on an easy-going but funky break and shimmering but spacious six-string lines" (Exclaim!), Norwegian singer-songwriter Jenny Hval details a surreal and provocative dream—her latest to air in advance of an LP on Sacred Bones.

Jaga Jazzist - Oban Todd Terje Remix

Posted by 18 blogs • Download: AmazoniTunesLegitmix
Coming of age in 90s Norway, Todd Terje was surely aware of Scandinavian nu-jazz pioneers Jaga Jazzist. One can only guess how he felt given the opportunity to create what Harder Blogger Faster calls, "easily one of Terje's most impressive remixes."
This week's album premiere is Hypnophobia, the new LP from baroque-psych artist Jacco Gardner.

As for interesting reads, try this one about the dawn of online piracy.

Thanks for listening!
