Australian band Twerps formed in Melbourne and soon began releasing cassettes and 7-inch singles of their self-described "janky pop", leading to a debut album in 2011. Now signed to Merge, their long-awaited second LP sounds like a combination of vintage 80s Flying Nun records and what Stereogum calls "a flashback to the slack, shambling lo-fi glimmer-jangle of the best mid-90s indie rock."
