Glasgow band Pinact write shout-along anthems with the spirit of punk and the melodies of indie-pop. It's a simple, straightforward style, which Stereogum likens to "Blink-182 ratcheted up to Buzzcocks tension levels and delivered with a power-pop touch befitting Weezer or Teenage Fanclub." They approach sophomore LP, The Part That No One Knows, as a trio, with one new member, and their sound well-sharpened—but much of the fuzz and grit intact. The album sees release on Brooklyn's Kanine Records (Fear of Men, Weaves).
